What is Syringoma?
These are harmless and painless eccrine sweat duct tumours. They can
be found on the eyelids, armpits chest, neck scalp and the groin area. They are skin coloured or yellowish tones and are firm rounded bumps. They are usually 1-3mm in diameter and are found more in women than men. They are often found to be symmetrical in pattern and more common in Asian woman from the age of 40 although typically present themselves in adolescence. Can be itchy or at times cause irritation. Easily treated however, often reoccur.

What causes Syringoma?
Syringomas develop when sweat duct cells in the outermost layer of skin overgrow or sweat glands overreact, forming tumours or abnormal tissue growths.
